Deep Encounter with Noor Abed I OCT. 21-25, 2024 @ Studio ISAC & Outdoors & @ArBA-esa

Throughout a year in ISAC, five to six encounters are taking place with invited and international guest artists. In the form of a masterclass,

those deep encounters are intensive moments within the

study program where students meet the artists through

their practice and artistic research, whether

physical and/or conceptual in order to generate a deep mutual exchange based

on each particular proposition.

Between 21- 25 October 2024, Noor Abed, an interdisciplinary artist from

Palestine, who currently lives and works between

Ramallah and Amsterdam, arrived in the ISAC studio.

Noor Abed and ISAC, together examined notions of social choreographies and collective formations, combining forms of the ‘staged’ and the ‘documentary’.

Noor Abed works at the intersection of performance and film and aims to examine performances of the community and social movements in relation to rituals of waiting, resistance, and mourning.
