"Above all, what keeps me doing what I do is a constant need to explore how different forms of violence construct us, and a need to resist to the normalization of all kinds of violence; through observing and making visible minor details, through experimenting with different generations, and obviously through questioning political, economical and social contexts..."
Danya Hammoud shared with ISAC students some recurring themes to explore during the intensive week together...
The relationship to History, the relationship to the present.
Supports; Where are our supports?
The pelvis; initiation of all movement.
The intention of a gesture. The front.
Physical memory and visual memory.
Being a witness. Positioning.
Description: oral and written. Naming.
Composition. The Ensemble.
